It's July, and something we've been preparing for for a long time is finally happening; my girlfriend is moving in with me next week, and she has also found a job in the same town as me. Go us! It has been agonizing, sometimes, all this waiting and longing, but I think it has been well worth it, and nothing teaches you to appreciate your significant other like separation. I'm really glad we'll finally be able to start our lives together properly, though. We'll work hard on it.

Art-wise it has been more planning than action for me. I'm taking part in a project that I can't talk about in public yet and I'm quietly trying to gather the materials I need as I plan the illustrations. I'm still scannerless, but I can thankfully borrow a scanner from work whenever needed (but I'm a bit lazy with this admittedly, as the damned things are a bit heavy to carry in a backbag). Right now I've been writing more than drawing, trying to work on something that has been in progress since 2013 and that I very dearly wish to finish sometime this year, but there is still work to be done with that. When it comes to fandoms, my fangirl vein is pretty dry (I've been secretly fangirling over Amnesia again). I've reverted back to my childhood favourites like FF7, Moomins, Harry Potter and I've collected quite a few of my old favourite picture books for inspiration. It feels like the older I get, the more I appreciate my comfort zones and retreating within them when I'm tired or stressed out. Work has been tiring in the past month since the staffing situation in my team is pretty bad at the moment, so everyone has been under pressure recently and I took care of one particular branch of customer service on my own for two weeks. It did not leave much space for personal projects, unless you count sleeping a lot.

I released a new Daniel/Alexander oneshot recently, after a long long pause:…
And my 3-chapter Bagginshield modern AU, Under Surveillance, has been finished too:…

I'm taking a break from writing for the Tolkien fandom at the moment, I've exhausted my inspiration for that after going at it for so long, but my interest for writing some Amnesia stuff has somehow come back after a long break. I hope that means I'll be able to get out some new stories before long~

I hope the summer has treated you all well so far, and to those of you suffering from the current heatwave, take care of yourselves and always keep fresh water at hand! Sweden is blissfully cool so far, and I hope it stays that way too.

Hi, I'm Linda. I'm 27 years old, Finnish, living and working in Dalsland, Sweden. INFJ, taken, as gay as they come. I love fan art, cute girls, tea, pastel colours, northern nature and running water. I'm at my best in warm sweaters and cold climates. I like to travel and study languages, but my heart never strays far from the northern hemisphere.

A big fan of Final Fantasy games, Moomin, Sailormoon, Tangled, Frozen, LotR, The Hobbit, Harry Potter, etc...

Sorry, I don't do requests or art trades (but I'll consider trades with mutuals and/or good friends).

I stubbornly ship Thorin x Thranduil...although after browsing through that Hobbit fanart...someone's ship seems to be stealing my attentions~!

Ships are evil like that, they tend to be contagious. :giggle:
Joking aside, though, all ships are good ships and there's plenty of pretty Thorin/Thranduil art that I enjoy, despite not shipping them myself. It's lucky that the fandom is so diverse with lots of talented people. ^^
